The instructor for the Refinery Fundamentals Business & Economics course worked at Shell for 26 years. His expertise lies in Manufacturing, Supply and distribution, Research and Technical Services, Business Assurance (Quality and auditing), Change Management and Continuous Improvement.
He has 15 years of experience in refinery and petrochemical engineering. He worked for 12 years in three different refineries. In The Netherlands, Germany, and the United Kingdom, he managed and led multi-cultural teams of up to 13 well-educated people. He previously worked as part of the Management Team at Pernis Refinery in Rotterdam. He also had a temporary assignment in Shell Internal Audit.
The instructor for the Refinery Fundamentals Business & Economics course has a Master’s and a PhD. They studied Chemical Engineering at Delft University of Technology.
